Attend EEPC and learn from people who are creating successful & effective partnerships!
The Effective Education Partnerships Conference, or EEPC, is designed to bring together the various stakeholders in business/education partnerships, including businesspeople, leaders of business coalitions, school leaders, and others to share case studies and practical tips on building and maintaining effective partnerships. The emphasis is on the practical: we want attendees to leave the conference with a long list of things they can take home and immediately apply to their local efforts.
Key features of the event include:
- The following keynote speakers –
- Rick Hess , senior education scholar with the American Enterprise Institute and author of several books related to stakeholder engagement in education;
- John Stone , president of the Education Consumers Foundation, dedicated to providing independent and accurate information to the stakeholders of education; and
- David Mathews , president of the Charles F. Kettering Foundation, and author of several books on the relationship between civic engagement and public education
- Practitioner-led breakout sessions – The conference will feature breakout sessions from 30 business, coalition, foundation, and education leaders who have created effective partnerships and wish to share their project templates, experiences, and lessons learned.
- Pre-conference seminars – EEPC will offer two pre-conference seminars, including one on successful fundraising by the National School Foundations Association, and one on preparing principals for community partnership by the Partnership Directors Network.
- A case study competition – DeHavilland Associates will soon launch a case study competition on building successful partnerships; winning entries will be recognized at the conference, and these case studies will provide a springboard to a round of sessions driven by attendee participation.
Cost for this two-day event is $499 per person; employees of schools and districts are eligible for a $100 discount. Pre-conference seminars are available for an additional $99.
Note that space is limited to 500 attendees, and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis; please register now to ensure your space at the event, or download the conference brochure in PDF format here.
